Technology in Leadership Development Tuesday 28th November 2006

Technology is increasingly impacting all aspects of business, often as a disruptive force bringing with it both opportunities and challenges. As well as enabling more efficient and effective business processes, technology is also being applied in the formal and informal learning arena—with important implications for collaboration and virtual teamwork.

This workshop explores how existing and emerging technologies are being used to support leadership development initiatives (especially those targeting emerging leaders), what we can learn from best practices among early adopters, and the key challenges that need to be addressed.

  • Key Leadership development challenges
  • Virtual Teams and online community leadership
  • Technology infrastructure enabling new approaches
  • Games and simulations to build new leaders

Performance Driven Learning Wednesday 29th November 2006

Sensing, understanding, valuing and optimising patterns of interaction and value drivers in work practices represents a primary opportunity for transforming enterprise capabilities, generating sustainable growth, value and competitiveness.

“Creativity is no longer about which companies have the most visionary executives, but who has the most compelling architecture of participation. That is, which companies make it easy, interesting and rewarding for a wide range of contributors to offer ideas, solve problems and improve products?”.Tim O’Reilly, O’Reilly Media, New York Times, March 2006.

This workshop shows how organisations can unlock sustainable value from intangibles by fostering architectures of participation. It is set within the context of recent methodologies and research that demonstrate the impact of intangibles on organisational performance.

  • Cracking the performance code: how firms succeed
  • Strategic value of performance and learning
  • Predictable performance through precision learning
  • Creating an architecture of participation
